Picking The Next Great Tattoo

For a lot of people they think about getting their next tattoo days after they got their last one. It is important that you spend some time thinking about your next tattoo and that is why I wanted to bring this up to you. Don’t be like some people and just feel the urge to get a tattoo so you walk into a shop and pick one out. This is not what you need to do, being that a tattoo is permanent you need to love whatever it is because it will be with you forever.

Advice On Picking Your Next Tattoo

Take Your Time – It is important to spend a little bit of time to think about your next tattoo. The reason why you need to take your time is because when people rush a decision it will normally come out wrong. Something that I would highly recommend is to wait at least a week before you decide on the final design of your tattoo. I know this might seem like a long time but it really isn’t.

Get Something Small – Being that I have some tattoos, I know that at some point you might want to get something big and meaningful but sometimes you should wait on that. My advice is to plan on getting something that is big but do it in a way that you get pieces of it done at a time. The reason I recommend getting something small and then expanding on it is because you won’t be able to tell when enough is enough until you actually see it on your body.

Customize It – The last thing I would do is change the way your tattoo looks. If you are looking at something on the internet then I would print off the picture and see about adding little things to it to make it your own. Just remember that this is going to be on your body forever to make sure that it looks just like you want it to.

If your tattoo is a little bit different than you had planned on then don’t worry just yet, every tattoo is different so if yours is a bit unique then that should not make a huge difference. A lot of people will ask the tattoo artist for a recommendation and I would recommend doing this to a point, get some pointers but don’t let them change your mind on what you want. Whether you are getting shoulder blade tattoos or something on your forearm, you need to get something that YOU love because that is all that matters.
